Leak Repair Clamps

Leak Repair Clamps are extensively used for the quick, effective, and reliable repair of pipelines carrying oil, gas, water, steam, and various chemical fluids across both high- and low-temperature applications. To begin with, these clamps are designed as split assemblies, where two halves are securely bolted together to create a high-integrity pressure enclosure around the leaking or damaged section of the pipe.

Furthermore, sealing is achieved using high-quality elastomer seals, which are carefully selected based on compatibility with the pipeline fluid and operating temperature conditions. As a result, these seals ensure effective leak containment even under demanding operating environments.

In addition to providing reliable sealing, Leak Repair Clamps offer enhanced functionality and long-term performance benefits. For example, operators can weld the clamps after installation to create a permanent and pressure-tight repair solution. Moreover, in critical situations where immediate action is required, the clamps can be completely seal-welded while the pipeline remains operational.

Consequently, this minimizes downtime and operational interruptions while maintaining continuous process flow. Therefore, Leak Repair Clamps provide an efficient, safe, and durable solution for maintaining pipeline integrity in challenging industrial environments.

Features of Leak Repair Clamps

Leak Repair Clamps are fitted with high-grade elastomeric seals, typically manufactured using Buna-Nitrile or Viton materials. To begin with, the sealing load in these applications is achieved through bolt tensioning of the clamp studs, following a split sleeve design that ensures secure and effective sealing around the damaged area. In addition, all clamps are equipped with an external pressure test facility, allowing operators to verify joint integrity before commissioning and ensuring reliable performance from the outset. Furthermore, for improved operational flexibility, a twin seal configuration is also available, enabling inter-seal testing during installation for additional verification and safety.

Moreover, Leak Repair Clamps can be supplied for both topside and subsea repair applications, thereby providing versatility across a broad range of operating environments. Similarly, for more demanding applications, engineered solutions can incorporate metal graphite composite seals, which come standard in all Split Sleeve Clamp Mechanical Contractor products. Importantly, this graphite-based sealing technology provides excellent chemical resistance while also performing effectively under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. Consequently, it ensures long-term reliability and durability without degradation, even when operating in harsh, corrosive, or aggressive environments.

Benefits of Leak Repair Clamps

Leak Repair Clamps are highly effective for repairing leaking pipes or addressing wall thinning issues in pipeline systems. To begin with, these clamps are designed to self-seal through the controlled bolting of clamp studs, ensuring quick and reliable leak containment. Typically, standard clamps are supplied with a single seal configuration; however, double seal arrangements are also available upon request for enhanced safety and testing requirements.

Furthermore, each clamp undergoes hydro testing at 1.5 times its design pressure, or alternatively, according to specific client requirements, thereby ensuring reliability before deployment. In addition, these clamps are widely used for both subsea and topside repair applications, making them suitable for diverse operating environments.

Moreover, wedge-shaped grooves are incorporated into the design to prevent seal slippage during installation, thereby improving sealing performance and operational reliability. Additionally, the clamp design complies with ASME VIII standards, ensuring adherence to recognized engineering practices. Finally, prep angles can also be incorporated whenever welding is required, thus providing greater flexibility for permanent repair solutions.
